PHILANTHROPY
FALL PHILANTHROPIES
Here at Alpha Phi, we like to constantly change our fall philanthropy! Every year we put on a different event but always have the same goal which is supporting and raising awareness for Women's Hearth Health. In past years we have put on events such as Mac n'Phis: where anyone can buy a ticket to eat unlimited Mac and Cheese with custom toppings; Hoops 4 Hearts: a basketball competition among the fraternities; Bake off: where we competed against the Sigma Nu Fraternity in a bake off competition! We love coming up with new philanthropic ideas that incorporate the community while supporting Women's Heart Health!
KING OF HEARTS
King of Hearts is our annual spring philanthropy which brings all the fraternities at UC Davis together to compete in a variety of events in support of Women’s Heart Health. These events have included blood drives, flag football tournaments, food eating contests, scavenger hunts, video game tournaments, coin wars and much more, with different competitions added every year. At the end of the week, one group of men is crowned “The King of Hearts” in recognition of their contribution to the Alpha Phi Foundation. We are so grateful to have a philanthropy that motivates other Panhellenic chapters on campus to raise money for Women's Heart Health!
RED DRESS GALA
Red Dress Gala is our biggest philanthropy event of the year! This event is held in winter quarter and is a charity gala where we have silent and live auctions, dinner and senior ceremonies. During this gala, we get to show our families and friends a part of Alpha Phi that we hold close to our heart. All Alpha Phi's dress in red in honor of spreading awareness for heart disease. All of the proceeds raised from this event are donated directly to the National Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports Women's Heart Health. This night allows us to take pride in Alpha Phi and share our philanthropic values with all of our family and friends.
